UrbEd Advocates

The Challenge

Based in Philadelphia, UrbEd combines community organizing and policy to uplift students, educate communities, and develop coalitions to give students the education they deserve. They came to us looking to refresh their digital brand and main touchpoint (website). Previously their site was hosted and built using Squarespace. Their goal with the new website was a solution that would be an aesthetic experience for their users while being easy to navigate.

A secondary pain-point was site maintenance and scalability, UrbEd needed to be able to add to, edit and expand the site as they see fit as well as have a gated backend for internal staff to access resources.

Our Solution

We kicked off with a round of mood-boards to fully define the tone and aesthetic UrbEd was going for. Afterwards we move on to design sitemaps which eventually we used to develop 2-4 mock-up versions to choose from. After a few stakeholder meetings, we determined the mock-up we'd take into development to design the new website. After a few months, revisions and feature developments, we launched the new website.

Since launch we have trained UrbEd staff on management as well as kicked off a retainer partnership for SEO and digital strategy.

Brandon Archer | Executive Director
The Greenflag team designed, developed and trained us on our new website. The new solution purely expresses our brand trajectory. I personally admire their commitment, clear communication, and extra support even after the contract concluded
